Description
Simic Helldrazi w/ Troyan, Gutsy Explorer
My second ever Eldrazi brew. There are no big hitting Eldrazi you might expect, and it focuses on Spawn/Scion creation and manipulation, plus reliance on high CMC cards.
Troyan is a cheap CMC Commando who can help you get these big buoys on the board. Secure card advantage over your opponents with cards like Thunderous Snapper, Imoti, Gandalf, Emrakul’s Influence, Kozilek’s Unsealing and many more. Ramp with Eldrazi Scion/Spawn token generation, or use them as a horde of unsuspecting flunkies with colorless buffs. Darksteel Monolith gives the first colorless spell played each turn costs ZERO to cast – that includes your opponents turns, so try and utilise this advantage as best you can. Chimil also allows you to play your Eldrazi and other colorless friends without fear of counterspells ruining your day. Card draw from Triumph of Ferocity, Up the Beanstalk and Colossal Majesty will help you keep pace as you empty your hand of enormous Eldrazi buoys.
Classics like Sylvan Library and Urza’s Incubator help you make maximum impact on the board at an efficient speed. Even with this being an Eldrazi deck, I’ve worked hard to keep this deck as close to the ground financially as possible.
It comes fully sleeved in purple dual matte Dragon Shield sleeves, and has an Eldrazi Spawn & Scion token from way back in the day included. There’s also a sizable sideboard included at no extra cost to you.
I always like to state who I think will get the most out of my decks. Part of that is identifying the level of skill needed to successfully pilot each deck. This deck is fun, and strong. It’ll be better piloted by intermediate level players and beyond. However, the deck is mostly relying on one spell per turn (hence inclusion of Rug of Smothering), so it’s not too mind-bendingly difficult to pilot.
Postage is $7 for non-rural tracked courier & $9 for rural addresses. Please feel free to ask for more details.
